The NS Book Project
Exams have ended and there are many things for me to accomplish this summer! Of course, one of the most pressing things that has to be done is the NS Book project that me, TY and Jeshua decided to do.
Basically, when it first started out, I wanted it to be a source of encouragement to those going into NS, or are already in NS, but most importantly, to my younger brother. As an older sibling, sometimes we do have to fill in the shoes of our parents, to look after the well being of our younger siblings in area that our parents will miss out. Of course, I did not personally go through every single army experience shared over meal tables, and that is why it is important to seek as many people to contribute their army stories as possible.
One thing that I did not really shared with alot of people was that, somewhere in the midst of army, I totally left God and went off to seek my own good. It was a period of tiredness, loneliness, and coupled with the fact that people in church did not really understand or appear to care what I was going through. I left God, forsaking my daily QT, and keeping church activity to the minimal of sunday ministry. But God had plans for me, and after a period of soul searching, I decided once again to commit myself to God. Actually, looking back, this episode of my life could have well been prevented, or the pain lessened, if people who had gone through the same road had taught me a thing or two to expect while serving the nation. Some lessons are better learn through the experience of others, don't you think?
So now, here we are. We hope that God will use this book to prepare the road for those coming behind us; to tell them about what to expect and recognize signs before we fall into temptations, for there are rooms for such in the army.
Right now, we do have a small volume of testimonies coming in, but really, every story counts.
Taiwan Drama
Next up, yes, I've been watching Taiwan Drama, this particular one being the one which airs every saturday and sunday evening;
愛. I wanted to finish the series as fast as possible, so i went online and found the online streams. Gosh! There are about 300++ episodes, with each episode being 99 minutes long in Taiwan! So, after being hooked on it for the past 1 and a half week, I decided to do what most curious handsome young man would do when he lays his hands on a very exciting book; I searched out the last episode and watched it. So, I do hope this hiatus ends here, cos there are indeed many other things for me to be done.
Besides these, I've been spending time with people. Both family and friends. More importantly though is to spend time with aaron, because he's going into army soon, so i might not even be able to make it for my australia trip, but its fine, cos at this point of my life, family is really very important. I've spent time at Jeshua's place lately too, learning how to make shepherd's pie from Aunty Janet. I'll just attempt to make you guys salivate a little. haha
