The Road Less Trodden
Adapted from Robert Frost's 'The Road Not Taken'
Two roads faded on an island changed,
And sorry I could not recover both
But like one reminiscer, stood on a stage
And looked down one, so full of vivid image
Of where the hordes of dark menance loathe.
Then glanced't the other, as just as fair,
And choosing perhaps the better claim,
Because it was a building and needed wear;
And a place filled with prayer and care,
The very place before God I came.
And both that evening equally lay
The former for Love, had trodden black.
The former for Love, had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the latter for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
Now I know why I will never come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads split on an isle, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And it originated from Onesiphorus.
This post is dedicated to Onesiphorus camp site, the currently ex camping ground of Scripture Union Singapore. Its the place where i remembered dedicating my life and stayed close to God for the longest time in my life, up to date that it. Of course, i'm not as close as i used to be, but am trying still. Its also the place where my ego fell more than once. memorable indeed. A pity its going to be re-furbished.
